Show HN: Publican – an HTML-first static site generator for Node.js I'm Craig Buckler and Publican is my tiny, simple, fast, and free static site generator for Node.js. I've used several SSGs including Jekyll, Metalsmith, and Eleventy. Why build another? The main reason: personal preference. All SSGs have features that I need, features I don't need, and features they don't support. Publican implements just enough with flexibility to extend it using JavaScript. Publican templates use JavaScript literal ${ expressions } so there's no weird syntax to learn. You can also use !{ expressions } to output partially-built pages for runtime use in Express.js or elsewhere. Anyone building AI applications knows that these prices are very important to their bottom line. The only place I am aware of is going to these provider's individual website pages to check the price per token. Switching between models is just a string change : update "openai/gpt-4" to "anthropic/claude-3" and you're done. It's currently in alpha and isn't remotely bug free. I had been holding off on posting this here until it was somewhat presentable and useful. Please note; the Lisa conforms more literally to the desktop metaphor than most modern GUIs - some of the important differences are mentioned in the readme. This is a complete recreation of the UI in JS; it all renders to a single canvas element. It's not a CSS theme, and not an emulator ported to JS. None of the code is written by Apple. It lets you pre-select the winner of a basic online raffle as a sort of "magic trick." First time posting a project on HN. First public github repo also. Keen on feedback.
